Article Topics

Do you have a passion for a specific online game?  Are you just bursting at the seams to share it with the world?

Then LoneWolf has a solution for your problem — you can write a Guest Post for Online Games for All or one of the related LoneWolfMuskoka sites.

First of all, you need to decide what it is that you want to write about.  Here are some ideas:

  • The history of the game
  • Tips for getting started
  • Tips for playing the game
  • Your favourite experience (what’s your high score?)
  • What’s coming up in the future
  • You get the idea … let your imagination run wild

Then there are two ways that you can go.  First, write the article and email it to us.  The other is to contact us and explain your idea.  If we like it we’ll get you to write the article.

Articles Guidelines

  • Articles should be between 300 and 1000 words long — if it has to be longer than that, break it into a series of articles.
  • The article should be written in a text editor, not a wordprocessor.  Use XHTML markup tags if you know how to use them (although you don’t need to worry about <p> tags, just separate paragraphs with a blank line).
  • In the body of the article, you can include links that are appropriate to the piece.
  • Include a bit of a bio/promo for yourself.  This can include links back to your own sites if they are relevant to you as the author.  If you want to promote a product that relates to the game in question then you can include it here — just don’t overdo it.
  • If you include pictures, just put a note as to where you’d like them to go.  Use ALL CAPITALS to make it stand out.  Then attach the pictures to your email.  Please make sure that they’re not huge images (i.e. straight from your digital camera).
  • Maximum of 3 pictures unless you clear it with me first.
  • Articles must be no stronger than PG.  Don’t push the envelope here — we hope to have kids here as well as parents.
  • Use a spell checker.  Proofread your work.  We want well written articles but we don’t want to be doing too much editing.  If you have trouble with this but have a really good article then we may work with you.

I’m sure that there are lots of other important things that I’m completely forgetting about, but I’ll add to this page as we grow.  If you have any questions there is always email!

Submissions

Make your submissions to bill@lonewolfmuskoka.ca (no need to include SASE 8=).  Put the article in the body of the email or attach the .txt file to it.  Attach any pictures (make sure they have appropriate names).  Limit the number of images to 3 unless you clear it with me first.

So, that’s all I can think of right now.  I’m looking forward to seeing what this can become!

Thanks!
